Hi! I’m Hana May, and I’m a silly witch.

I was born into a family of witches, psychics, mediums, healers, and readers, so I’ve been practicing and honing my craft for as long as I can remember.

I spent most of my career in the newsrooms and studios of the UK’s national newspapers, magazines, and TV channels as a journalist and producer.

Then 2020 arrived—disruptive, confronting, and transformative—and it pushed me to reconsider what I truly wanted my life to look like. In its own intense way, it gave me the nudge I needed to finally step out of the broom closet.

Following in my great-grandmother’s footsteps, I trained as a Reiki practitioner in 2021 and have been working energetically with wonderful clients from all walks of life ever since.

My inherited psychic abilities are woven into everything I do, guiding every tarot reading and enriching each energy healing session with deeper insight and clarity.

I was gifted my first Rider–Waite–Smith Tarot deck at 15, and I’ve refused to put them down since.

Alongside my therapeutic work and intuitive readings, I’m passionate about teaching and sharing ancient and sacred rituals—both on social media and through my in-person and online workshops.

  • I loved Hana's Tarot for Beginners course. It felt like a really well-rounded introduction to The Tarot. From the history, to set the scene, learning the special rituals of cleansing and storing the cards with care and intention, to breaking down the deck into managable chunks, so we could familiarise ourselves with the different types of cards within. Hana is a real expert in the tarot and invited and answered questions at every step. Learning different spreads and also the many layers of symbology (colours, numbers, astrology) within the cards to aid the practicality of reading them so insightful. For me it's most helpful to learn from a person rather than a screen or book. Hana's knowledge and experience are invaluable to have with you in situ as you navigate the new world of the mystic!

  • Absolutely. Reiki is an incredibly gentle and natural healing process and there is no way for it to create any harm.

  • Unlike massage, you can stay fully clothed for Reiki. Wear something comfortable and warm (depending on the time of year) as your body temperature will drop slightly during the treatment.

  • Absolutely nothing. I will tap into your energy and connect with your spiritual team, which is something I don’t need to be physically close to you to do.
